I had butterflies in my stomach I was ecstatic about going to the beach. We got told to be safe but have a fun day by Mrs. Anderson. Room 9 and Room 6 were grouped together. We all sprinted onto the bus to sit on its back as it ran through the streets. We finally got to the beach. I was tingling all over it was like spiders were on my skin. I could smell the fresh sea air and the revolting mud. The day wasn't perfect it was like the sky's big moustache was covering the sun as it tried to fight through the moustache.
We had to sit on the ground when Mr. Johnston talked to us about having a safe but fun day. Then we sprinted to the shade under the tree, it was the best spot. Ms. Kirkpatrick talked to us about watching over the little dolphins in the sea. Our group was first up for kayaking. Our group got the best deal because our life jackets weren't wet. I got in the boat I was so nervous I was sweating in the cold, shaking like an earthquake, my kayak was shaking too.
I looked over to the little dolphins bouncing and screaming their heads off. I looked at the water it was like glass. I could see my clear reflection. We raced out all the way to the pink buoy in the deep area. After that we then held each others kayaks and then Ms. Kirkpatrick gave us the hardest mission. We had to switch boats in the water. Katarake and I went up first, it was nerve wracking we had to step onto the other boat. I was grappling with the person in the middle boat. We finally made it. I wanted to do it again but the game was over. Then there was another thrill seeking game, a game of tiggy. kayak styles. We raced back to shore and my kayaking fun was over, it was grass time for me from now on.
I was on the grass eating my food thinking how can Mrs. Anderson do this all day. I went to play some cricket. Addnan and I had a strategy to get people out it was genius. It was like like knocking down pins, until Suliasi, our tall classmate came. Then the plan was all over. Our cricket scheme had failed. After that I wanted to go in the kayaks again but I couldn't so I found another exciting game to get out the boring pit. I started skimming rocks across the water. I tried to find rocks because rocks work the best. Two and three bounces was the highest I could get until Ms. Kirkpatrick told me to stop. Oh man back to the boring pit then we were told to pick up rubbish because we were going to go.
We once again hopped on its back, one by one before it ran through the streets back to school. We were on our way the bus was noisy as ever. People screaming and bouncing in their seats. We finally got to school and I felt both excited and disappointed to leave the beach. Room 6 and Room 9 were going crazy (mostly room 6), Mrs. Anderson was saying Ms. Kirkpatrick owes her because she a 50 kids in her class going crazy. We had to wait about 20 minutes until the bell went so it was 20 minutes full of circus animals!
