Easy Maths: By Teagan

Easy maths

1. 10 times tables: I work out  my 10x table by adding a 0 at the end of the number.
For example:
3 x 10 = 3 + a 0 on the end = 30
659 x 10 = 659 + a 0 on the end = 6590

2. 11 times tables: I work out my 11x table by adding the same number at the end if it is in the units. Greater than 10.
For example:
6 x 11 = 6 + the same number at the end = 66
111 x 11 = Greater than 10 = 1221

3. 5 times table: I work out my 5 x tables by halving the even number then adding a 0. If it is an odd number halve it then take out the decimal.
For example:
6 x 5 = Halve the 6 = 3 + a 0 = 30
9 x 5 = Halve the 9 = 4.5 - the decimal = 45

4. 0 Times tables: If it is 0 x something it is always 0.
For example:
0 x 9 = 0
0 x 156 = 0

5. 6 Times tables: 5 x plus.
For example:
6 x 9 = 5 x plus = 54
6 x 359 = 5 x plus = 2154

6. 9 Times tables: 10 x minus.
For example:
1. Fingers, For Example:
9X3, you put your third finger down and count the rest of the fingers, and your answers will be the correct answer.
2. 10X= The number, for example
9x4= 10x4(40)-4=36 9X4=36
3. Breaking up into the fragmentsI  know, For Example
9X3=27+9X3=27=54 9X6=54
4. Counting in 9s, For Example
9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72,81,90,99,108,,,,,,

7. 12 Times Tables: 10 x plus double the number.
For example:
12 x 7 = 10 x plus double the number = 84
12 x 624 = 10 x plus double the number = 7488

8. 11 Times Tables: Greater than 10.
For example:
7 x 12 = Greater than 10 = 84
150 x 11 = Greater than 10 = 1650

My Art: By Teagan

This is my art. The diamonds are stars because when we look up we see bright looking stars. There is two Earth's because we hope to  live on another planet one day. I love the shading on the Earth because it brings my painting to life.

Hi, Miss Paton
How has your trip been? Can you believe it has been two weeks already.  We’re having a great time with Mr. Blackmore and have done heaps of work.

We have learnt new things. We have done a space timeline that is on my blog, and we are about to do a report on four things that happened in space. We have been finding different ways to work out our 5, 10, 6 and 9 multiplication facts.

We had a Soccer Tournament. Their were 5 teams from Panmure Bridge . The year sevens came first equal and the year sixes and fives came fourth and fifth. Kifi was in my team and he scored the most goals,4. I scored 3 and Andre scored 1. Mr. Murray was our coach. Mr. Blackmore says I should play Soccer for a club because I’m good I think. We had a great time and all were exhausted  and came home tired.

Your Sincerely
Teagan
