Current Events: Teagan

Current Events NZ:
A 30 year old man has been charge with murder after assaulting 19 year old Wiremu Desmond Birch in Taupo.
  • The 30 year old man ended up going to jail for a very long time
  • For the young teenager he sadly died after the vicious assault in taupo.

  • I’m sure the teenagers family must have been very sad and furious at the man who murdered the relative .
  • The mans family must be dissapointed in that their son has been assaulting other people.

  • He wants the people of Taupo to feel safe and know this man has been charged.
Custody- In police care.
Bail- To release a prisoner, To scoop water out of a ship or a boat.

Current Events World:
US Army researchers are working on building a high tech body army that would give soldiers superhuman strength. It would be like a real life Iron Man.
  • It is going to help the soldiers in their battles.
  • Its going to have a financial effect on the US Government because they have got to pay for it.

  • For me I think it would be cool like anybody else because it would be like having a real superhero. I just hope they use it for the good not the bad.

  • To tell people that the army could be making an Iron like suit.

This is the current events that I did for my Homework. We had to do two pieces, one from New Zealand and one from the world.

The Waitemata Harbour it is a drowned river valley.
Why was it chosen to be New Zealand’s capital?
